This squeaking noise is going to make me sell my car

I am at my wit's end with this constant squeaking every time I slow down. I have replaced pads, turned the rotors, even tried different brands of brake pads, and nothing seems to work long term. A friend of mine who knows more about cars than I do sent me a link to understand what might actually be causing it. Apparently I might have a glazing issue or maybe even missing shims. I am going to take everything apart this weekend and start from scratch. Has anyone else had brakes that just refuse to stop squeaking no matter what you do?
