But the incident has also put his anger at the government at full throttle.

He was arrested on 14 January last year after being charged with driving while disqualified. A short while later in August, he was suspended from his job because the police said there was "no basis for this charge".

When he was re-tried in December he was found guilty, and again arrested on 22 September, but was given a clean bill of health. He is currently awaiting sentence in custody at the Old Bailey.

Tory MP Richard Bacon claimed at a conference this month that the charge was based solely on Mr Stewart's failure to appear for bail over a previous DUI arrest. A spokesperson for the probation service said it received no complaints of a criminal background check in connection with Mr Stewart's employment.

"At no stage, before the allegations arose, was Mr Stewart questioned about whether he was disqualified from doing any work related to the insurance or financial industry," the spokesperson added.

Mahathir mohamad becomes worlds oldest elected person and is widely regarded as one of the greatest leaders of the twentieth century. His political legacy was widely praised, and he died peacefully in prison in 2006.

Yahya Khan

Yahya Khan was a major figure in Indian politics. From the time of independence in 1947, he has been one of India's most powerful leaders. Born at Nagpur, he attended the Madras high school but dropped out after his first year. His education in Mumbai and his work as a doctor and politician earned him the nickname 'God of Nagpur' as he fought battles against the police and the British government.

His father was an engineer who started his career as a pharmacist in Bombay. When he became a teacher, the family migrated to Nagpur where he became chief minister. In 1960 he ran for the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat for the first time and then again in 1970.

By 1970 he had defeated the incumbent Pramod Patel, who had been minister of state for communications and industry, after which he became the party's chief spokesman. His rise to power was marked by extreme corruption, corruption of public officials, and bribery. By 1975 he was elected prime minister and took over the reins of the party and the political system. Under his leadership, the party's policy on race, caste and religion was severely curtailed. It was a period in which most other Indian leaders who followed in his footsteps, including Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, were ostracised or even prosecuted by the government.

Majid Majidi

Majid Majidi started out as a professional doctor, but he went on to become a lawyer, leading the opposition's campaign for the right to vote in all elections. He was the main voice that united Muslims in opposition to the Indian National Congress and to the Congress's own anti-BJP policy.

He fought and died at Bhujbal village in Chhattisgarh in April 2001, while fighting the army in a military unit that took the brunt of fighting between the army and Bhujbal village militiamen. Majidi's death was mourned by many Muslim leaders of the state.

In 2009, he became the first Muslim to be chosen as a senator from his ruling party, the Congress, in a primary vote. His election as a senator was followed by a general election of the party held in December 2009 in which he became the only Muslim to do so. He became prime minister in November 2010. The government launched a broad spectrum of measures against radical Islamic activities.
